Kings and Queens

"They're so pretty..." Asante whispered, looking to the stars. When she looked again at Marcus' face, she supressed a smile. He wasn't looking like the arrogant cub he always acted like. He was calm, and his eyes were silver in the moonlight. They shone with happiness. "...Too bad only royal lines get's a chance to be in there." She sighed. "I bet your star will shine so much one day." Asante concluded, smiling at him.
Marcus' eyes clouded.
"Yeah, that's what Dad says. But... I don't believe him."
"What?" Asante's eyes widened. "Why not?" Didn't he want to be a shining star one day?
"I think that everyone has a place on the sky. Not just Kings and Queens." He smiled at her. "Why are we so important anyway?"
But didn't he always act like he was the best thing the world could offer because he was a Prince? Asante was utterly confused.
"I mean," he continued, "There are so many stories about normal lions that changed the world. I think they deserve a place on the sky too. And I don't think that there are so many dead Kings and Queens." He chuckled, and Asante smiled. "There are too many stars just for us. I think everyone that was good gets a star." He looked at her... Was that a shy smile? Marcus was never shy. "At least that's what I think."
Asante almost opened her mouth, too shocked to speak. Marcus thought that way and... He was just a cub! She wondered how he'd be on the future. With who...
And she was confused about why it seemed to be so important for her.
"You really think so?" She asked, looking at the sky again.
"Yup, I do." Marcus smiled, relaxing. She realized he was worried that she would laugh at his opinion.
Marcus never spoke like that. So sincere... Was that really himself? Was he letting her see how he really was? She wondered if someone else knew about this.
"I just... Sorry. I never talked like that to someone." He smiled shyly, and then glared at her. "Don't you dare telling anyone about it."
Well, that was more like him.
But Asante's mind was in something else. He just answered her question.
Only me.
He never shared his opinions like that with anyone else. Just her.
"And you know what?" He continued, and then she could swear he was blushing.
"I think you'll be the brighest of them all."

I decided it was about time I started the 100 themes challenge. Not doing it on any order, but since every single picture will be a part of the story... well. So for "55. Kings and Queens" I did a talk between Asante and Marcus about the Kings and Queens from the past ^^

Ah, I have a question:

When I started this story I never thought it would get so big. So I developed Asante's cubhood and rogue life, to make it much larger. This scene is a part from a chapter of the story. My question is: Should I upload it while doing the story or wait until it's done to update it? Doing it now could help me get my inspiration back(and I'm really excited to write about it), but will make it bigger and take time from another parts. So what do you think?
