Daughter of a mistake

Kivuli took the couple to a cvae, hidden in the middle of the sands. Deep inside of the cave, a lioness laid down.
On the minute Asante looked at her, she knew she was sick, and she wouldn't make it. She felt really bad for the cub.
She opened her green eyes, just for a second... And Marcus gasped.
- I know you... Kisha?
- Marcus?
Tears filled Marcus eyes, and he lowered his head.
- Do you know her? - asked Asante
- Yes... She lives in Father's pride... she never talked to anyone and was very shy... We met one day in the morning... Just a few days after you went to talk with me. We became friends... She was a my best friend...
- You grew... - Mumbled Kisha, moving her head to see the others. She was too weak to get up. - And you're Asante, right? I remember you too... You left the pride whehn she was a teen... Marcus got really bad about it. - a tiny smile crossed her face.
- You did? - asked Asante, raising an eyebrow to her mate.
- Eh, yes?
Asante turned her face to Kisha.
- Why did you never show you to us? Just because you were shy?
- No... - mumbled her - I've always wanted to be with you but... But my father wouldn never agree with that.
- Your father? But... Isn't he a rogue?
- No... My father is Mailiki.
- What? - gasped Marcus - My father? How could he...
- You know you and you brothers were born when your parents were already a bit older than usually lions are when they have cubs right? So my father mated with my mom... before Kendra got pregnant of you. When I was born and he saw it was a girl, he waited until you three were born. Luckily he got males, and I became like a back-up. So I would probably never become Queen, since he had you and Marlo as next in line.
'So he took my mother to a den very far from all the others, and said that if she came closer to Kendra and talk about me, he'd kill me. My mom was always the last one to eat, and we were always very sllim. When I got bigger I met Marcus and started to play with him. It was good to interact with someone, especially my little brother.
'But then there was the problem with Asante and Nikita, and Marcus and Marlo left the pride. My mom and I left later. We lived as rogues for a long time, but it was hard to get food, and my mom starved to make me eat enough to survive... I met a male, one year after that, we passed only one night together, but that was enough to make me get pregnant.
'I've always lived in the desert. I like the hot mornings, and the cold nights. But a few days ago a scorpion bit me in my leg, and now here I am...'

Marcus couldn't believe... His sister? how could his father betray his mom? And think if kiling his own daughter? So he wasn't the good lion Marcus always thought he was. Luckily Adrian wasn't this way, since he lisened more to his mom that his dad. But he couldn't think of it now. Kisha didn't have much time.
Sudendly she pulled his head to her, and whispered in his ear:
- Please please please, Marcus... I know I'll die here, but... give a good life for my son, give him a great future...
- I will, I promise. - he licked her cheek.
they waited there with Kisha the whole night, Kivuli nuzzling his mom, sleeping near to her chin. But when he woke up in the morning, her eyes didn't open anymore.
- Mommy... - he mumbled.

Asante and Marcus woke up with his loud cry. Tears rolled trough Marcus's face, as he oulled the little cub to his body.
- Don't worry, little nephew, you won't be alone, never... I'll take care of you.

liked my surprise? Kivuli is Marcus's nephew! I've always thought they looked like each other, but I couldn't make Marcus betray Asante too, so Maliki is now a bad lion i'm feeling bad for killing Kisha now.

Anyways Kivuli will have a new mommy(No, its not Asante.)
